द्रोणेन सात्यकिपीडनम् — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Charge to Sātyaki amid Droṇa’s Onslaught
यद्यस्य देवा गोप्तार: सेन्द्रा: सर्वे तथाप्यसौ । राजधानीं यमस्याद्य हत: प्राप्स्यति संकुले
yady asya devā goptāraḥ sendrāḥ sarve tathāpy asau | rājadhānīṃ yamasya adya hataḥ prāpsyati saṅkule ||
Sekalipun semua dewa—termasuk Indra—datang melindunginya, tetap saja hari ini ia akan terbunuh di tengah himpitan perang dan pasti mencapai kota kerajaan Yama.
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse teaches the inevitability of death when destiny (shaped by prior action and the moral trajectory of events) has matured: even divine intervention cannot avert what is firmly ordained.
Vāyudeva declares a prophetic certainty about a warrior’s imminent death in the battle: regardless of any protection—even by all gods with Indra—the person will be killed that very day and will go to Yama’s realm.
