अभिमन्यु-परिवेष्टनम्
Encirclement and Counterassault of Abhimanyu
शूराणां युध्यमानानां निघ्नतामितेरतरम् । संग्रामस्तुमुलो राजन् प्रावर्तत सुदारुण:,राजन! युद्धमें तत्पर हो एक-दूसरेपर घातक प्रहार करते हुए उन शूरवीरोंमें अत्यन्त दारुण एवं भयंकर संघर्ष होने लगा
śūrāṇāṃ yudhyamānānāṃ nighnatām itaretaram | saṃgrāmas tumulo rājan prāvartata sudāruṇaḥ ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Raja, ketika para pahlawan itu bertempur—saling menjatuhkan dengan hantaman mematikan—pecahlah pertempuran yang gaduh, amat kejam, dan mengerikan.”
