Droṇa’s Fall: Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Inquiry
क्षमावन्तो5वहन् संख्ये सेनाबिन्दुमरिंदमम् । सोनेके आभूषणों तथा कवचोंसे सुशोभित रेशमके समान श्वैत-पीत रोमवाले सहनशील घोड़ोंने शत्रुओंका दमन करनेवाले सेनाबिन्दुको युद्धभूमिमें पहुँचाया
sañjaya uvāca | kṣamāvanto 'vahan saṅkhye senābindhum ariṃdamam |
Di tengah pertempuran, kuda-kuda yang tabah dan tahan uji—berhias perhiasan emas dan berzirah, berbulu putih-kuning laksana sutra—membawa Senābindhu, penunduk musuh, ke medan laga.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights endurance (kṣamā) and disciplined readiness as essential supports of martial duty: even amid violence, steadiness and proper preparedness enable a warrior to act effectively within the demands of battle.
Sañjaya reports that resilient, well-adorned and armored horses carry the warrior Senābindhu—described as a crusher of enemies—onto the battlefield during the fighting.
