Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Bhārata, ia menarik busurnya hingga ke telinga, lalu melepaskan seratus anak panah—mengerikan laksana ular berbisa—dengan daya yang garang dan menyala, menuju Bhīmasena.”

The verse highlights the intensification of martial violence in war: skill and power are displayed through extreme force (a full-drawn bow and a barrage of arrows). Ethically, it underscores how battle can rapidly escalate, testing restraint and dharma even among kṣatriya warriors.
Sañjaya reports that a warrior (implied by context) draws his bow to the ear and shoots a hundred terrifying, serpent-like arrows at Bhīmasena, marking a fierce exchange in the Drona Parva battle scenes.
