Sañjaya berkata: “Saat ia menghancurkan seluruh bala tentara hingga tampak laksana akhir zaman, hari ini ia akan menginjak-injak pasukan dan menghadirkan pemandangan pralaya. Maka biarlah semua Pāṇḍava—bersama Śrī Kṛṣṇa—menyaksikan kedahsyatan dayanya hari ini.”

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the moral psychology of war: a warrior’s pride and resolve can escalate violence into ‘cosmic’ proportions, using yugānta/pralaya imagery to magnify human destruction. Ethically, it warns how ego-driven prowess seeks spectatorship and validation, even when the act is mass slaughter.

Sañjaya reports a combatant’s fierce intention: he will crush the opposing forces so thoroughly that it will resemble the end of the world, and he challenges the Pāṇḍavas—along with Kṛṣṇa—to watch his prowess on that day.
