etau raṇe samāsādya samāścāstaḥ suyodhanaḥ |
Sañjaya berkata: Setelah berhadapan dengan kedua tokoh itu di medan perang, Suyodhana (Duryodhana) berdiri teguh. Dalam batinnya ia tahu bahwa Karṇa dan Droṇa adalah akar derita mereka; namun justru dengan bersandar pada keduanya di gelanggang perang, keberaniannya tetap terpelihara.
संजय उवाच
