Dihantam Bhīma, para Rākṣasa yang berhati kejam itu meraung keras dan lari tunggang-langgang ke sepuluh penjuru.

Cruelty and unrighteous aggression (krūra-buddhi) ultimately lead to भय (fear) and पलायन (rout) when met by steadfast force aligned with a just cause; the verse highlights the moral fragility of adharma in the face of determined resistance.
Sañjaya reports that Bhīma is striking down rākṣasa fighters; wounded and overwhelmed, they emit loud, dreadful cries and scatter, fleeing in all ten directions.
