दुःशासन-सहदेव-संक्षोभः; भीम-राधेय-गदायुद्धम्; द्रोण-पार्थ-अस्त्रसंग्रामः

घोररूपं महाराज भीरूणां भयवर्धनम् | यह देख द्रोणाचार्यकी सेनासे घिरे हुए राजा दुर्योधनने भी रणभूमिमें पाण्डवोंपर आक्रमण किया। महाराज! भी कायरोंका भय बढ़ानेवाला घोर युद्ध होने लगा
ghorarūpaṃ mahārāja bhīrūṇāṃ bhayavardhanam |
Wahai Maharaja, bangkitlah pertempuran yang mengerikan, yang menambah gentar hati para pengecut. Melihat Raja Duryodhana terkurung oleh bala tentara Droṇācārya, para Pāṇḍava menyerbu dirinya di medan laga; maka perang pun mengambil rupa yang menakutkan.
