वासवी-शक्तेः प्रयोगः, घटोत्कच-वधोत्तर-शोकः, व्यासोपदेशश्च

तमापततन्तं सम्प्रेक्ष्य शैनेयस्य रथं प्रति

tam āpatatantaṃ samprekṣya śaineyasya rathaṃ prati

Melihat dia menerjang tanpa ragu ke arah kereta perang Śaineya, Sañjaya menggambarkan bahwa pada saat itu pusat pertempuran seakan menyempit pada satu titik: serbuan langsung yang sudah di ambang. Di sana tekad, keberanian, dan batas-batas dharma dalam membidik seorang kesatria tertentu bertemu dan berbenturan di panasnya perang.
