विह्वलं तमभिज्ञाय भर्तारें शरपीडितम् । हतो<यमिति च ज्ञात्वा सारथिस्तमपावहत्,अपने स्वामीको बाणोंसे पीड़ित एवं विह्लल जानकर और उन्हें मरा हुआ समझकर सारथि रणभूमिसे दूर हटा ले गया
vihvalaṁ tam abhijñāya bhartāraṁ śarapīḍitam | hato 'yam iti ca jñātvā sārathis tam apāvahat ||
Melihat tuannya kebingungan dan tersiksa hebat oleh anak panah, serta mengira ia telah gugur, sais kereta—didorong oleh takut dan kesetiaan—membawa dia menjauh dari medan perang.
संजय उवाच
In war, loyalty and the impulse to protect can lead to hasty conclusions; ethical action requires steadiness of judgment even amid fear and confusion.
Seeing his arrow-wounded master in a bewildered state and assuming him dead, the charioteer withdraws him from the battlefield, effectively removing him from immediate danger.
