गजानां क्षुरनिर्मुक्ता: करैः: सभुजगेव भू:
gajānāṃ kṣuranirmuktāḥ karaiḥ sabhujageva bhūḥ
Sañjaya berkata: Bumi, dihantam dan tercabik oleh tangan-tangan gajah—laksana ular yang terlepas dari tepi pisau cukur—tampak menggeliat kesakitan di tengah kekerasan perang.
