Night engagement and the attempt to reach Droṇa
आसीद् भीमसहायस्य रौद्रमाधिरथेर्गतम् । जैसे वायुकी सहायता पाकर सूखे वनमें तथा घास-फूँसमें अग्निकी गति बढ़ जाती है, उसी प्रकार उस महायुद्धमें भीमसेनके साथ सूतपुत्र कर्णकी भयंकर गति बढ़ गयी थी
sañjaya uvāca | āsīd bhīmasahāyasya raudram ādhirather gatam |
Sañjaya berkata: Dengan Bhīma sebagai penopang, gerak sang mahāratha menjadi garang dan tak terbendung. Seperti api yang dibantu angin menjalar cepat di hutan kering serta rumput dan jerami, demikian pula dalam perang besar itu, bersama Bhīma, dahsyatnya terjangan Karṇa—putra kusir—kian meningkat.
