Duryodhana’s Appeal to Karna — The Kripa–Karna Dialogue
The verse highlights the intensity of righteous warfare as an ordeal of steadiness: a warrior’s character is tested not only by striking power but by the capacity to withstand sustained, multi-directional assault without losing composure.
In the battle scene, Bhimasena releases a volley of arrows. They rain down on Karna from all directions, their whistling likened to the chirping of birds, conveying both speed and density of the attack.
