Book 7, Chapter 132
ताभ्यां दुर्योधन: सार्थमकरोत् संख्यमुत्तमम् । त्वरितस्त्वरमाणाभ्यां भ्रातृभ्यां भारतो बली,तब उस बलवान् भरतवंशी वीर दुर्योधनने तुरंत आगे बढ़कर बड़ी उतावलीके साथ आते हुए उन दोनों भाइयोंके साथ भारी युद्ध छेड़ दिया
tābhyāṃ duryodhanaḥ sārtham akarot saṅkhyam uttamam | tvaritas tvaramāṇābhyāṃ bhrātṛbhyāṃ bhārato balī ||
Saat itu Duryodhana, kesatria perkasa keturunan Bharata, segera maju dan—berhadapan dengan dua bersaudara yang sama-sama melesat dengan tergesa—memasuki pertempuran yang dahsyat dan menentukan.
द्रोण उवाच
The verse highlights how haste and martial pride can propel leaders into intensified conflict; ethical discernment in war requires restraint, yet the narrative shows the opposite—rapid escalation driven by competitive valor.
Droṇa reports that Duryodhana quickly advances and engages in a major fight together with (and against) two brothers who are also rushing forward, indicating a sudden, forceful clash on the battlefield.
