mumohā sārathis tasya rathaśaktyā samāhataḥ | sa rathopastham āsādya muhūrtaṃ saṃnyasīdat ||
Terhantam oleh tombak dari kereta itu, saisnya limbung dan pingsan. Ia merangkak ke tempat duduk kereta lalu duduk terdiam sejenak, dikuasai oleh pukulan itu.
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the fragility of human capacity amid warfare: even those supporting a warrior’s role (like a charioteer) can be suddenly incapacitated, showing how violence disrupts order and duty (dharma) on the battlefield.
A charioteer is struck by a chariot-thrown spear (śakti), becomes dazed/unconscious, reaches the chariot-seat, and sits there silently for a short while, unable to perform his function.
