Even in wartime, dharma is maintained through humility and proper conduct: the warrior shows reverence by bowing with joined palms, and the king responds with a gesture of affectionate blessing, affirming moral order and mutual responsibility.
A warrior respectfully salutes Yudhiṣṭhira by bowing at his feet with añjali; Yudhiṣṭhira blesses him by smelling his head, and the warrior then mounts a great chariot to proceed with the next action in the battle sequence.
