Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 114 — Karṇa–Bhīmasena Missile Exchange, Disarmament, and Arjuna’s Intervention

The verse highlights how, in war, success often depends on coordinated means—speed, formation, and timing—so formidable that they feel ‘time-like’ (kāla-kalpa), reminding the listener that human effort and the inexorable force of Time together shape outcomes.
Sañjaya continues describing the battle scene in Droṇa Parva: combatants employ diverse tactics and swift cavalry/arrangements that are difficult for opponents to penetrate, emphasizing the intensity and near-unstoppable momentum of the engagement.
