इसी प्रकार वहाँ सब ओर घूम-घूमकर वह भिन्न-भिन्न प्रकारकी बोलियाँ भी बोलता था। उस समय भीमसेनपर आकाशसे बाणोंकी सहस्रों धाराएँ गिरने लगीं ।। शक्तय: कणपा: प्रासा: शूलपट्टिशतोमरा: । शतघ्न्य: परिघाश्नैव भिन्दिपाला: परश्च॒धा:
śaktayaḥ kaṇapāḥ prāsāḥ śūla-paṭṭiśa-tomarāḥ | śataghnyaḥ parighāś caiva bhindipālāḥ paraśvadhāḥ ||
Demikian ia berputar ke segala arah sambil melontarkan berbagai pekik dan seruan. Saat itu juga, ke atas Bhimasena tercurah dari langit aliran anak panah yang tak terhitung; bersama itu melesat pula beragam senjata—śakti, kaṇapa, prāsa, śūla, paṭṭiśa, tomara, śataghnī, parigha, bhindipāla, dan kapak perang—hingga serangan itu menjadi badai perang yang tak kenal jeda.
