कौलूतका हयाश्रित्रा वहन्तस्तान् महारथान् | व्यशोभन्त तदा शीघ्रा दीपयन्तो दिशो दश,रोषमें भरे हुए उन कवचधारी वीरोंने मेघके समान गम्भीर गर्जना करनेवाले रथों और पैने बाणोंद्वारा अर्जुनकी दसों दिशाओंको आच्छादित कर दिया। कुलूतदेशके विचित्र एवं शीघ्रगामी घोड़े उस समय उन महारथियोंके वाहन बनकर दसों दिशाओंको प्रकाशित करते हुए बड़ी शोभा पा रहे थे

kaulūtakā hayāśritrā vahantas tān mahārathān |
vyāśobhanta tadā śīghrā dīpayanto diśo daśa ||
Kuda-kuda Kaulūta yang beraneka warna dan sangat cepat, terpasang pada kereta dan mengangkut para mahāratha itu, tampak bersinar saat itu—seolah menerangi sepuluh penjuru.
