Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s appraisal of Vāsudeva’s deeds
पतितं चैनमालोक्य समन्ताद् भरतस्त्रिय: । परिवव्रुर्महाराजमस्पृशंश्वैव पाणिभि:,महाराजको गिरा देख धृतराष्ट्रकी बहुत-सी स्त्रियाँ उन्हें चारों ओरसे घेरकर बैठ गयीं और उन्हें हाथोंसे सहलाने लगीं
patitaṃ cainam ālokya samantād bharata-striyaḥ | parivavrur mahārājam aspṛśaṃś caiva pāṇibhiḥ ||
Melihat sang maharaja terjatuh, para perempuan wangsa Bharata bergegas berkumpul dari segala arah. Mereka mengelilingi raja dan dengan tangan mereka menyentuh serta mengusapnya perlahan, sebagai ungkapan duka dan kasih rawat.
