स गाढविद्धो व्यथितो रथोपस्थ उपाविशत् | विशोको भरतश्रेष्ठ भगदत्तेन संयुगे,भरतश्रेष्ठ! भगदत्तके द्वारा युद्धमें अधिक घायल होकर भीमसेनका सारथि विशोक व्यथित हो उठा और रथके पिछले भागमें चुपचाप बैठ गया
sa gāḍha-viddho vyathito rathopasthe upāviśat | viśoko bharataśreṣṭha bhagadattena saṃyuge ||
Sañjaya berkata—tertikam dalam dan diguncang rasa sakit, Viśoka duduk di bagian belakang kereta. Wahai yang terbaik di antara Bharata, di medan laga ia telah dilukai parah oleh Bhagadatta.
संजय उवाच

Sañjaya reports that Viśoka, having been badly wounded by Bhagadatta during the fight, becomes pained and sits down at the back of the chariot, withdrawing from active action due to his injury.
