भीष्मशिबिरगमनम् — Duryodhana’s Visit to Bhīṣma’s Camp and the Command Appeal
विविशुस्ते तदा हृष्टा गान्धारा युद्धदुर्मदा: । महाबाहो! उस समय उन युद्धदुर्मद गान्धार-देशीय वीरोंने विजय अथवा स्वर्गकी अभिलाषा लेकर विशाल सेनाके साथ पाण्डव-वाहिनीके परम दुर्जयव्यूहका भेदन करके हर्ष और उत्साहसे परिपूर्ण हो उसके भीतर प्रवेश किया
viviśus te tadā hṛṣṭā gāndhārā yuddha-durmadāḥ |
Wahai Mahābāhu, saat itu para kesatria Gandhāra yang mabuk oleh kesombongan perang, terdorong oleh hasrat akan kemenangan atau surga, menerobos formasi Pāṇḍava yang amat sukar ditembus; dengan pasukan besar mereka masuk ke dalamnya, bersorak gembira dan penuh semangat.
