Adhyāya 86: Irāvān’s Lineage, Cavalry Clash, and the Māyā-Duel Ending in Irāvān’s Fall

तेषां प्रववृते युद्ध सुमहललोमहर्षणम्‌ । इरावांस्तु सुसंक़्रुद्धो भ्रातरी देवरूपिणौ

teṣāṃ pravavṛte yuddhaṃ sumahallomaharṣaṇam | irāvāṃs tu susaṃkruddho bhrātarī devarūpiṇau |

Di antara mereka berkobarlah pertempuran yang amat dahsyat dan menggetarkan bulu roma. Irāvān, menyala oleh amarah, seketika melukai dua bersaudara Vindā dan Anuvindā—tampan laksana para dewa—dengan anak panah tajam yang beruas-ruas. Kedua saudara itu pun mahir dalam siasat tempur yang menakjubkan di medan laga; maka mereka membalas dengan menembus Irāvān dengan panah-panah mereka.
