अन्यांश्व शतशो बाणान्‌ प्रेषयामास पार्षते । दुर्योधनहितार्थाय भर्तृपिण्डमनुस्मरन्‌,उसके बाद दुर्योधनके हितके लिये स्वामीके अन्नका विचार करते हुए धृष्टद्युम्नपर और भी सैकड़ों बाण चलाये

anyāṁś ca śataśo bāṇān preṣayāmāsa pārṣate | duryodhana-hitārthāya bhartṛ-piṇḍam anusmaran ||

Lalu, mengingat kewajiban atas makanan yang pernah diterimanya dari sang tuan—sebagai ikatan dharma—Droṇa melepaskan ratusan anak panah lagi ke arah Dhṛṣṭadyumna, demi kesejahteraan Duryodhana.
