भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)
तावास्थितावेकरथं सौभद्रशिनिपुड्भवौ | सौबलीं समरे सेनां शातयेतां समनन््ततः,उधर सहस्रों रथी जब इधर-उधर भाग रहे थे, उसी समय एक रथपर बैठे हुए अभिमन्यु और सात्यकि सुबलपुत्रकी सेनाका संग्रामभूमिमें सब ओरसे संहार करने लगे
tāv āsthitāv ekarathaṃ saubhadraśinipuṅgavau | saubalīṃ samare senāṃ śātayetāṃ samantataḥ ||
Sañjaya berkata: Ketika ribuan prajurit kereta tercerai-berai lari ke berbagai arah, saat itu Abhimanyu, putra Subhadrā, dan Sātyaki, yang utama di antara kaum Śini, berdiri bersama di atas satu kereta dan di tengah pertempuran menghantam bala Saubala dari segala penjuru.
