रथे भीष्मस्य चिक्षेप यथा देवो धनेश्वर: । उधर श्वेतने क्रोधसे व्याप्त हो उस गदाको आकाशमें घुमाकर भीष्मके रथपर फेंक दिया, मानो कुबेरने गदाका प्रहार किया हो ।। ९२ ह ।। तया भीष्मनिपातिन्या स रथो भस्मसात्कृत:

Transliteration

rathe bhīṣmasya cikṣepa yathā devo dhaneśvaraḥ | tayā bhīṣmanipātinyā sa ratho bhasmasāt-kṛtaḥ ||

Translation

Diliputi amarah, ia memutar gada itu di angkasa lalu melemparkannya ke kereta Bhisma, seakan Dewa Kekayaan, Kubera, menghantam dengan gadanya sendiri. Oleh pukulan yang menjatuhkan Bhisma itu, kereta tersebut pun menjadi abu.
