अवारयदमेयात्मा वारिवेगानिवाचल: । इन सबको आते देख अमेय शक्तिसम्पन्न भीष्मजीने द्रोणाचार्य, शल्य तथा कृपाचार्यके साथ जाकर उनकी गति रोक दी, मानो किसी पर्वतने जलके प्रवाहको अवरुद्ध कर दिया हो
avārayad ameyātmā vārivegān ivācalaḥ |
Sanjaya berkata: Bhīṣma, yang jiwanya tak terukur, maju bersama Droṇa, Śalya, dan Kṛpa, lalu menahan laju mereka—bagaikan gunung membendung derasnya arus air.
