प्रीतस्तेडभिगमेनाहं जयं तव नराधिप । आशासिष्ये सदोत्थाय सत्यमेतद्‌ ब्रवीमि ते,“नरेश्वर! तुम्हारे इस आगमनसे मुझे बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई है; अतः: सदा उठकर मैं तुम्हारी विजयके लिये शुभकामना करूँगा। यह तुमसे सच्ची बात कहता हूँ

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

prītaste'bhigamenāhaṃ jayaṃ tava narādhipa |

āśāsiṣye sadotthāya satyam etad bravīmi te ||

Translation

Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai raja, kedatanganmu membuatku sangat bersukacita. Setiap hari aku akan bangkit dan senantiasa memanjatkan berkat bagi kemenanganmu. Inilah yang kukatakan kepadamu dengan sebenar-benarnya.”
