अनीकमध्ये तिष्ठन्तं राजपुत्रं दुरासदम् | अब्रवीद् भरतश्रेष्ठं गुडाकेशं जनार्दन:,उस समय सेनाके मध्यभागमें खड़े हुए दुर्जय वीर निद्राविजयी भरतश्रेष्ठ राजकुमार अर्जुनसे भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने इस प्रकार कहा
anīkamadhye tiṣṭhantaṃ rājaputraṃ durāsadam | abravīd bharataśreṣṭhaṃ guḍākeśaṃ janārdanaḥ ||
Saat itu, Janārdana (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) berbicara kepada Arjuna—pangeran terbaik di antara Bharata, penakluk tidur—yang berdiri teguh di tengah barisan, sukar dihampiri musuh.
