Bhīṣma-parva Adhyāya 16 — Saṃjaya’s Boon, Bhīṣma’s Protection, and the Dawn Arraying of Armies
The verse does not give a direct moral injunction, but it frames the ethical gravity of the coming conflict by emphasizing the unprecedented scale and disciplined organization of the Kaurava host—suggesting how immense power, once mobilized, magnifies the consequences of adharma and the suffering of war.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra about the battlefield preparations, expressing astonishment that he has never seen or heard of such a massive, well-organized deployment of the assembled Kaurava divisions.
