Bhīṣma-nipāta-saṃvāda — Sañjaya’s Report of Bhīṣma’s Fall (भीष्मनिपातसंवादः)
आशंंसे5हं परं त्राणं भीष्माच्छान्तनुनन्दनात् । मुझे शान्तनुनन्दन भीष्मसे अपने पक्षके परित्राणकी बड़ी आशा थी। इस समय अपने पुत्रके शोकसे संतप्त होकर मैं महान् दुःखसे चिन्तित हो उठा हूँ ।। ६१ हू ।। यदा55दित्यमिवापश्यत् पतितं भुवि संजय
āśaṃse ’haṃ paraṃ trāṇaṃ bhīṣmāc chāntanunandanāt |
Dhṛtarāṣṭra berkata— “Aku menaruh harapan perlindungan tertinggi bagi pihak kami pada Bhīṣma, putra tercinta Śāntanu. Namun kini, terbakar oleh duka atas putraku, aku terhimpit oleh kesedihan besar dan kecemasan.”
