Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai anak, sebelum Arjuna memusnahkan seluruh bala tentaramu dengan anak panahnya—batang-batang panah yang ruasnya menunduk—buatlah perdamaian dengannya.”

The verse urges timely peace-making: when destruction is foreseeable, ethical and prudent leadership seeks reconciliation rather than allowing pride and hostility to culminate in mass slaughter.
Sañjaya warns the Kuru side (addressing the king as “tāta”) that Arjuna’s prowess will annihilate their forces; therefore, before the army is wiped out, they should pursue a treaty (sandhi) with him.
