तथैव पाण्डवा राजन् सैन्येन महता वृता: । भीष्म संछादयामासुर्मेघा इव दिवाकरम्,राजन! फिर विशाल सेनासे घिरे हुए पाण्डवोंने अपने बाणोंद्वारा भीष्मको उसी प्रकार ढक दिया, जैसे बादल सूर्यदेवको आच्छादित कर देते हैं
tathaiva pāṇḍavā rājan sainyena mahatā vṛtāḥ | bhīṣmaṃ saṃchādayāmāsur meghā iva divākaram ||
Wahai Raja, demikian pula para Pāṇḍawa—dikepung bala tentara yang besar—menyelimuti Bhīṣma dengan hujan anak panah yang rapat, laksana awan menutupi sang Surya.
