Shloka 37

भीमसेनो गजानीकं योधयन्‌ बह्बशोभत । यथा शक्रो वज्रपाणिददरियन्‌ पर्वतोत्तमान्‌,तथा जैसे वज्रधारी इन्द्र बड़े-बड़े पर्वतोंको विदीर्ण कर डालते हैं, उसी प्रकार भीमसेन हाथियोंकी सेनाके साथ युद्ध करते हुए बड़ी शोभा पा रहे थे

sañjaya uvāca |

bhīmaseno gajānīkaṃ yodhayan bahuśo 'bhavat śobhitaḥ |

yathā śakro vajrapāṇir dārayann parvatottamān |

tathā bhīmasenaḥ gajānīkena saha yudhyamānaḥ śobhate ||

Sañjaya berkata: Bhimasena, berulang kali menggempur korps gajah, tampak bersinar dengan kemegahan yang nyata. Seperti Śakra (Indra) bertangan vajra meremukkan gunung-gunung agung, demikian pula Bhimasena, membelah barisan gajah, tampak bercahaya oleh keperkasaannya.
