Adhyāya 111 (Book 6): Daśama-dina-saṃgrāma—Bhīṣma’s Counsel to Yudhiṣṭhira and the Śikhaṇḍin-Led Advance
The verse highlights disciplined leadership and coordinated alliance in warfare: kings advance with their own forces in proper sequence, reflecting kṣatriya responsibility to act with order, support, and resolve rather than impulsive individualism.
Sañjaya describes the movement of the Pāṇḍava-aligned forces: King Virāṭa proceeds surrounded by his troops, and immediately behind him King Drupada advances in a charging motion, indicating the allied kings taking their positions and pressing forward in battle.
