रणे भारत पार्थेन द्रोणो विद्धस्त्रिभि: शरै: | नाचिन्तयच्च तान् बाणान् पार्थचापच्युतान् युधि,भारत! उस रणक्षेत्रमें अर्जुनने द्रोणाचार्यको तीन बाणोंसे घायल किया; परंतु अर्जुनके धनुषसे छूटे हुए उन बाणोंको युद्धस्थलमें द्रोणाचार्यने कुछ भी नहीं समझा
raṇe bhārata pārthena droṇo viddhas tribhiḥ śaraiḥ | nācintayac ca tān bāṇān pārthacāpacyutān yudhi, bhārata |
Wahai Bhārata, dalam pertempuran Droṇa tertusuk oleh Pārtha dengan tiga anak panah; namun di medan laga ia sama sekali tidak mengindahkan anak-anak panah yang dilepaskan dari busur Arjuna.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights steadiness in the face of pain and pressure: a seasoned warrior (Droṇa) remains mentally unshaken even when wounded, illustrating disciplined focus and endurance expected in kṣatriya conduct during war.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Arjuna (Pārtha) strikes Droṇa with three arrows in the battle, but Droṇa does not pay them any attention on the battlefield, continuing his fight without being disturbed.
