Aśvamedha-saṃbhāra: Return of the Horse, Auspicious Timing, and Construction of the Yajña Enclosure
इदमन्यच्च कौन्तेय वच: स पुरुषोडब्रवीत् | धनंजयस्य नृपते तन््मे निगदत: शूणु
idam anyac ca kaunteya vacaḥ sa puruṣo ’bravīt | dhanañjayasya nṛpate tan me nigadataḥ śṛṇu ||
(Kṛṣṇa berkata—) “Wahai putra Kuntī, wahai raja! Orang itu menyampaikan satu hal lagi berkaitan dengan Dhanañjaya (Arjuna). Dengarkanlah dariku ketika aku menuturkannya.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical importance of faithful transmission: the narrator carefully distinguishes an “additional statement” and asks the king to listen attentively, underscoring responsibility in reporting what was said about Arjuna.
Vaiśampāyana continues his account to King Yudhiṣṭhira, introducing that a certain man reported one more point connected with Arjuna (Dhanañjaya), and he now proceeds to relay it.
