Ulūpī’s Disclosure and the Saṃjīvana-Maṇi: Arjuna’s Restoration (उलूपी-प्रकटनं संजीवनमणि-स्थापनं च)
अभवं स च तच्छुत्वा विषादमगमत् परम् । ः | : है डर “उनकी बातें सुनकर मेरी सारी इन्द्रियाँ व्यथित हो उठीं और पातालमें प्रवेश करके मैंने अपने पितासे यह सारा समाचार कह सुनाया। यह सुनकर पिताजीको भी बड़ा खेद हुआ
abhavaṁ sa ca tac chrutvā viṣādam agamat param |
Arjuna berkata: “Mendengar kata-kata itu, seluruh indraku terguncang dan aku diliputi duka yang amat dalam. Lalu aku memasuki alam bawah untuk melaporkan seluruh perkara itu kepada ayahku. Mendengarnya, ayahku pun dikuasai kesedihan yang mendalam.”
अर्जुन उवाच
The passage highlights the ethical weight of speech and news: hearing distressing words can unsettle the senses, yet one must still act with responsibility—reporting truthfully to elders and accepting shared sorrow with composure.
Arjuna recounts that after hearing certain painful words, he fell into profound grief and went to Pātāla to inform his father of the full situation; his father, upon hearing the report, also became deeply distressed.
