Yudhiṣṭhira’s Procession, Encampment (Niveśa), and Auspicious Timing for Ritual Action
The verse highlights praṇipāta—humble prostration—as a dharmic mode of approaching the divine and the venerable, implying that true strength and right action are grounded in reverence and surrender of ego.
The narrator Vaiśampāyana reports that ‘we’ (the involved party in the episode) approached Girīśa (Śiva) with reverential prostration, indicating a formal act of devotion or supplication before a significant request or turning point.
