Adhyāya 62: Marutta’s Treasure and the Pāṇḍavas’ Auspicious Departure (मरुत्तस्य धनप्राप्त्युपक्रमः)
नोपागच्छन्त वै शान्तिमभिमन्युविनाकृता: । वे सबके सब अत्यन्त दुःखसे संतप्त थे। उन्हें शान्ति नहीं मिलती थी। उसी प्रकार हस्तिनापुरमें वीर पाण्डव भी अभिमन्युसे रहित होकर शान्ति नहीं पाते थे
na upāgacchanti vai śāntim abhimanyu-vinākṛtāḥ |
Tanpa Abhimanyu, mereka sungguh tak dapat mencapai ketenteraman. Semuanya hangus oleh duka yang amat dalam; kedamaian tak juga datang. Demikian pula di Hastināpura, para Pāṇḍava yang gagah, kehilangan Abhimanyu, tak menemukan ketenangan.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even after victory, unresolved grief and the absence of beloved and righteous companions can prevent true peace; inner tranquility requires emotional and moral reconciliation, not merely the end of conflict.
The narrator describes the continuing sorrow after the war: those who are without Abhimanyu remain deeply afflicted and cannot find peace; the Pāṇḍavas in Hastināpura likewise suffer restlessly because of his loss.
