Adhyāya 51: Kṛṣṇa’s Leave-Taking and Departure for Dvārakā (द्वारकागमनानुमति)
विश्वसृग्भ्यस्तु भूते भ्यो महा भूतास्तु सर्वश: । भूतेभ्यश्चापि पञ्चभ्यो मुक्तो गच्छेत् परां गतिम्
viśvasṛgbhyas tu bhūtebhyo mahābhūtāstu sarvaśaḥ | bhūtebhyaś cāpi pañcabhyo mukto gacchet parāṃ gatim ||
Dari makhluk-makhluk yang membentuk dunia, lahirlah unsur-unsur agung itu dalam segala cara. Namun siapa yang terbebas bahkan dari ikatan lima unsur itu, ia mencapai keadaan tertinggi.
वायुदेव उवाच
Liberation (parā gati) is described as freedom from identification with and bondage to the five great elements; transcending elemental embodiment is the mark of the highest attainment.
Vāyudeva is speaking in a doctrinal register, explaining a cosmological sequence (beings → great elements) and then turning it into a soteriological point: the one who is released from the five elements reaches the supreme goal.
