Adhyātma-Upadeśa
यावद् रथपथस्तावदू रथेन स तु गच्छति । क्षीणे रथपदे विद्वान् रथमुत्सूज्य गच्छति
yāvad rathapathas tāvadū rathena sa tu gacchati | kṣīṇe rathapade vidvān ratham utsṛjya gacchati |
Vāyu bersabda: “Selama masih ada jalan kereta, orang itu berjalan dengan kereta. Ketika jejak jalan kereta berakhir, orang bijak meninggalkan kereta dan melanjutkan. Demikian pula si bodoh melekat pada satu cara dan menderita ketika medan berubah; sedangkan yang arif menimbang batas jalan dan menyesuaikan caranya.”
