Sāttvika-vṛtta-kathana (Brahmā on the Conduct of Sattva) — Chapter 38
प्रकीर्तिता: सत्त्वगुणा विशेषतो यथाददुक्तं गुणवृत्तमेव च । नरस्तु यो वेद गुणानिमान् सदा गुणान् स भुड्धक्ते न गुणैः स युज्यते
prakīrtitāḥ sattvaguṇā viśeṣato yathādaduktaṃ guṇavṛttam eva ca | naras tu yo veda guṇān imān sadā guṇān sa bhuṅkte na guṇaiḥ sa yujyate ||
Vāyu berkata: “Sifat-sifat sattva telah diuraikan secara khusus, dan cara kerja guṇa pun telah dinyatakan sebagaimana adanya. Namun orang yang sungguh memahami guṇa-guṇa ini senantiasa mengalami buahnya tanpa terbelenggu olehnya; ia menikmati guṇa, tetapi tidak terikat pada guṇa.”
