कर्मणा मनसा वाचा शुभं वा यदि वाशुभम् | जन्मादिमूर्ति भेदान्तं कर्म भूतेषु वर्तते,मनसे, वाणीसे तथा क्रियाद्वारा जो भी शुभ या अशुभ कार्य होता है, वह तथा जन्म, स्थिति, विनाश एवं शरीरभेद आदि कर्म प्राणियोंमें विद्यमान हैं
karmaṇā manasā vācā śubhaṃ vā yadi vāśubham | janmādi-mūrti-bhedāntaṃ karma bhūteṣu vartate ||
Baik atau buruk—apa pun yang dilakukan melalui perbuatan, pikiran, atau ucapan—karma bekerja di antara makhluk hidup, sejak kelahiran dan terus melintasi perubahan bentuk-bentuk penjelmaan, hingga perbedaan terakhir dan berakhirnya bentuk-bentuk itu.
वायुदेव उवाच
Karma is generated and bears fruit through all three channels—action, thought, and speech—and it governs the moral and existential trajectory of beings from birth through the changing conditions of embodiment. Hence, ethical discipline must include intention and speech, not only outward deeds.
Vāyudeva is instructing the listener about the pervasive operation of karma in living beings, emphasizing that auspicious and inauspicious results arise from what one does, thinks, and says, and that these karmic forces shape embodied life from birth onward.
