Marutta’s Sacrifice: Indra’s Threat, Saṃvarta’s Mantric Restraint, and Divine Reconciliation (अध्याय १०)
Fear should not govern righteous action; inner steadiness is restored by trust in higher protection and by choosing a constructive aim (a boon) rather than being paralyzed by threats.
Saṁvarta reassures a king who fears Indra’s thunderbolt, promises to neutralize it by taking the form of Wind, and then invites the king to set aside fear and ask for a different boon—whatever mental wish he desires.
