Gāndhārī’s Petition for a Vision of the Departed (गान्धार्याः प्रार्थना—दिव्यदर्शनप्रसङ्गः)
न चैनां मोक्षयामास वीरो माद्रवतीसुतः । सहदेव मेरी माताको अपने सभी पुत्रोंसे अधिक प्रिय था; परंतु वह वीर माद्रीकुमार भी माँको उस संकटसे बचा न सका
na caināṃ mokṣayāmāsa vīro mādravatīsutaḥ |
Yudhiṣṭhira berkata: “Bahkan putra Mādravatī (Mādrī) yang gagah—Sahadeva—tak mampu melepaskannya dari bahaya itu. Ia lebih dicintai ibunya daripada semua putranya; namun pangeran perkasa itu pun tidak sanggup menyelamatkan sang ibu dari malapetaka tersebut.”
