वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse teaches that the fruit of hearing this parvan is highest for those who cultivate dharmic virtues—good conduct, self-restraint, generosity that purifies, straightforwardness, purity, peace, and abstention from violence and falsehood—linking spiritual benefit to ethical living.
Vaiśampāyana, as narrator, describes the kind of listener who gains the supreme result from hearing this ‘wonderful’ portion of the Mahābhārata, functioning as a phalaśruti-style statement that commends both the text and the virtues aligned with it.
