कुन्त्याः वनगमननिश्चयः — Kuntī’s Resolve to Depart for the Forest
इति श्रीमहाभारते आश्रमवासिके पर्वणि आश्रमवासपर्वणि धृतराष्ट्राअ्रमगमने त्रयोविंशो 5 ध्याय:
iti śrīmahābhārate āśramavāsike parvaṇi āśramavāsaparvaṇi dhṛtarāṣṭrāśramagamane trayoviṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ | itiprakāraṃ śrīmahābhārata āśramavāsikaparvake antargata āśramavāsaparvame yudhiṣṭhirādikā dhṛtarāṣṭrake āśramapara gamanaviṣayaka teīsavāṃ adhyāya pūrā huā |
Demikianlah, dalam Śrī Mahābhārata, pada Āśramavāsika Parva—bagian Āśramavāsa—berakhirlah bab kedua puluh tiga, yang mengisahkan keberangkatan Dhṛtarāṣṭra ke pertapaan hutan serta perjalanan Yudhiṣṭhira dan yang lainnya menuju pertapaan itu.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The chapter-colophon frames a moral transition: after the devastations of war and the burdens of rule, elders like Dhṛtarāṣṭra move toward withdrawal and austerity, while Yudhiṣṭhira’s response—going to meet him—signals dharma expressed as responsibility, reconciliation, and respectful care for elders even amid unresolved grief.
This is the concluding colophon of the chapter. It states that the twenty-third chapter ends, whose topic is Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s departure to an āśrama and the journey of Yudhiṣṭhira and others to that hermitage.
