अगस्त्य उवाच
Faithful study of an authentic śāstra—one preserved by the ṛṣis—is itself a dharmic discipline that leads to the highest, imperishable goal (brahmaṇo loka). The emphasis is on learning within a safeguarded tradition, not casual or self-made doctrine.
Agastya is instructing his listener within the Anuśāsana Parva’s didactic setting, praising the merit and spiritual fruit of studying the ṛṣi-protected teaching. The statement functions as a concluding assurance (phalaśruti-like) about the reward of such study.
