Śrāddha-utpatti and Nivāpa–Agni Precedence (श्राद्धोत्पत्तिः—निवापेऽग्निपूर्वकत्वम्)

आधिपत्य॑ व्रजेन्मर्त्यो ज्येष्ठायामपवर्जयन्‌ । नर: कुरुकुलश्रेष्ठ ऋद्धो दमपुर:सर:

ādhipatyaṁ vrajen martyo jyeṣṭhāyām apavarjayan | naraḥ kurukulaśreṣṭha ṛddho damapuraḥsaraḥ ||

Wahai yang terbaik dari wangsa Kuru! Seorang insan yang pada nakṣatra Jyeṣṭhā mempersembahkan piṇḍa dengan pengendalian indria terlebih dahulu, akan meraih kemakmuran dan mencapai kewibawaan sebagai pemegang kuasa.
